Teaching Assistant UNIVERSITY OF IOWA, Iowa City, IA, (8/99
- 6/00) Team taught an advanced level black and white printing class, which
included split filtering, fine fiber printing, split toning with a variety
of toners, and exhibition mounting and matting. Maintained 12-station black
and white darkroom. Coordinated ten-member work study staff.
Webmaster THAW Festival of video film and digital media, Iowa
City, IA (9/99 - present) maintained an interactive web site that included
information about the 5th Annual Thaw festival, including online applications,
clips from previous festivals and descriptions of all accepted work for

Cinematographer/Graphic Designer WIND-UP FILMS, Salt Lake City,
UT (2/99 - 2/00) Coordinated on location outdoor film shots for ski and
snowboard film "Clay Pigeons", involving professional and non-professional
athletes. Created promotional materials for current projects, including
4-Color Print Advertisements, video jacket covers, letterhead, business
cards, and an Internet web site. Shot primary cinematography with 16 mm

Maintained and operated a public access photography and digital imaging
facility. Coordinated educational programming in basic photography, computer

web site. Assisted Light Work Artists-In-Residence with various special
projects. Initiated community arts programming in cooperation with the

Film Scanning, Digital Color printing including Epson Photo 700/EX, Kodak
DS8650 dye sublimation and HP 2500 CP large format printing systems, Film
Recording, CD-ROM Authoring, Digital Video including Media 100 Systems
and all major graphic design software titles for web, print and video including,
Photoshop, Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Go Live, Dreamweaver, Director
6&7, Sound Edit 16, Adobe Premier, and Final Cut Pro.
Photochemical Processes: Extensive experience with standard black
and white processes, RA-4 Colorprocessing, Alternative Polaroid Techniques,
Platinum Paladio Process, Cyanotype, Gum Bichromate, and a variety of specialized
toning formulas.
Photographic Equipment: Expert user of large and medium format
camera systems, including Hasselblad and Bronica, 16 mm Motion Picture
cameras including Arriflex and Bolex, various video systems including Mini
DV, Hi8 and S-VHS, and a variety of vintage cameras including early Polaroid,
Diana/Holga plastic cameras, and Kodak brownies. |
